What the official extension does that we don't (on purpose)
The official extension bundles a two-way WhatsApp inbox, abandoned-cart recovery, back-in-stock alerts, and review requests into the same product as order notifications. Dispatchable Order Messaging doesn’t — and that’s a deliberate scope decision, not a missing feature. Meta treats transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates) and promotional messages (cart recovery, back-in-stock alerts, review requests) as distinct compliance categories under the WhatsApp Business Platform. Mixing them under one connection raises the risk of a merchant’s WhatsApp Business API access getting flagged or restricted — a real operational risk, not a hypothetical one. Dispatchable Order Messaging stays deliberately narrow: order-lifecycle communication only, nothing that could put your WhatsApp access at risk. If you specifically need cart recovery or back-in-stock alerts, that’s a genuinely different job-to-be-done — worth solving with a dedicated tool built for it, not bolted onto an order-notification plugin.
Comparison questions
Yes, for equivalent core functionality: Pro’s Single Site plan is $39/year against the official extension’s $79/year. Dispatchable Order Messaging also has a genuinely free tier the official extension doesn’t offer at all.
If you want a full WhatsApp conversation inbox inside wp-admin, yes — that’s the official extension’s territory, not ours. Dispatchable Order Messaging is built specifically for one-directional order-status updates, not ongoing customer conversations.
You can install Dispatchable Order Messaging alongside or in place of it — your existing Meta Business/WhatsApp Cloud API account works with either, since both connect directly to your own account rather than a third-party service. You’ll need to recreate your message templates in Dispatchable Order Messaging’s own Templates tab.
We don’t run their support inbox, so we can’t speak to specifics — the rating and review count are public on their WooCommerce Marketplace listing. We’d rather let you read the reviews yourself than characterize them for you.
Not from anything built into the plugin. Dispatchable Order Messaging only sends transactional order-status messages — it has no cart-recovery, back-in-stock, or review-request features that could mix message categories on your account.
